Under-Graduate:
The major objectives are training the students in basic biological and mechanical principles germane to a clinically relevant understanding of orthodontic, dentoalveolar tooth movement. It will introduce principles of orthodontic appliance design and construction.Laboratory experiences in appliance fabrication and simulated tooth movement is also an important component of teaching curriculum. The program is designed to prepare the students to provide limited focus , "hand-on" orthodontic treatment.
Post – Graduate : (Founded in : 1996)
This 3-year program is designed to prepare the graduates to recognize basic problems in the primary and mixed dentition and to develop appropriate solutions. Familiarity with changes in occlusion and dental arches during the transitional state, handling of analysis and management of space, examination and treatment planning are all included in the program. The graduates will also learn to handle the complexities of comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Emphasis will also be placed on broad based considerations in the diagnosis, treatment planning and provision of competent orthodontic care for resolving complex malocclusions.
